Student-View Scholarship

The 2018 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $11,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four year college, community college or career school. No Essay required. Apply online!

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Scholarship

These are scholarships for African American females. Applicant must be a high school senior planning to pursue college degrees. More information and the application are available for download on their website.

Better Tennessee Diversity Scholarship

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee’s Better Tennessee Foundation is currently accepting applications for a scholarship for minority students studying healthcare. $10,000 scholarship is paid out in $5000 increments. Application requirements are available online. Apply online!

Emory Louis Carter Memorial Scholarship

This application is for a one-time $500 scholarship for freshman year. Applicant must be a senior male with a 3.25 GPA. Applications are available in the counseling office.

The Jim A. Snoddy Memorial Scholarship

Crossroads Christian Church is offering 3 $1,000 scholarships to a graduating senior who meets the requirements of this scholarship. You must be pursuing the fields of music, math or science. Apply online or pick up an application in the counseling office.

Henry Naff Optimist Club Scholarship – School Nomination Required

On behalf of the Henry Naff Foundation, a Scholarship Program sponsored by the Optimist Club of Knoxville, there will be five scholarships awarded in the amount of $1,000 each awarded to students attending a Knox County area school. Students must be attending college in the fall, have a financial need, involved in the community and school activities and performed well in high school scholastically. Applications are available in the counseling office.

Y-12 FCU Bill T. Hicks Scholarship

Y-12 Federal Credit Union is offering six $1,000 scholarships. Applicant must be a high school senior with a 2.5 GPA that is planning to attend a college or university in the fall of 2015. Applicants must be a member of Y-12 FCU. Applications are available online or in the counseling office.

UTC Grote Scholarship – Chemistry Students

This scholarship is for a UTC incoming freshman that is chemistry major. This is a $12,000($3000/year, renewable for 4 years). To be eligible for this year’s awards, students must have been accepted for fall with a GPA of 3.5 or better and at least a 26 ACT or 1170 SAT composite scores.

Mitsui USA Scholarships in Tennessee Program

The Japan-America Society of Tennessee is offering four $5,000 freshman-year scholarships will be funded and awarded to successful applicants who plan to enroll in a four-year public college or university within the State of Tennessee’s Board of Regents or University of Tennessee systems. Drone STEM Scholarship

This scholarship is for aspiring commercial drone pilots who are 16 and up and serious about learning how to fly drones commercially and to support the use of drones to further the interest of high school students in STEM subjects. Scholarship recipients receive free access to Drone Pilot Ground School, an in-depth test prep course for the FAA’s “Part 107” certification exam to be a commercial drone pilot. The first 100 recipients will have their FAA exam fee covered. Learn more online.

STATE Monies scholarships

The Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship Program offers the HOPE Scholarship

TELS offers the HOPE ($4,000 for 4-year schools and $2,000 for 2-year schools), the General Assembly Merit ($1,000 supplement), the Aspire Award ($1,500 supplement), and the Hope Access Grant ($2750 for 4-year school and $1,750 for 2-year school) to qualified students. Additional HOPE monies include the Wilder-Naifeh Technical Skills Grant ($2,000) and the Tennessee HOPE Foster Child Tuition Grant (up to cost of tuition & mandatory fees).



The Tennessee Student Assistance Award Program (TSAA)

Funds are awarded on a first come, first-served basis. To be eligible, the applicant must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), be a Tennessee resident, and have a valid Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $2100 or less. Because funds are limited, interested students are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible after January 1.

Southern Regional Education Board’s Academic Common Market

For students interested in majors not available in their home state, this program enables them to apply for in-state tuition rates while pursuing their degree at an out-of-state institution. This agreement applies to most public universities in the 16 SREB states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. Note that Florida, North Carolina, and Texas only participate in ACM at the graduate level. For the HOPE and other scholarships, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA should be filed as soon as possible after January 1 of a student's senior year.
