Pay point to be negotiatedDivisionCrossroads Youth And Family ServicesReports toTeam Leader- Family Violence ResponseDateOctober 2016Primary Purpose of the jobThis position is responsible for the provision of high quality service delivery within the Family Violence Response team by providing a specialist family violence response to women and children. The team sits within the Family Safety-Response program which brings together Crossroads Family Violence high risk crisis work, support for families experiencing homelessness and housing related crisis and an integrated assessment and response program for children and young people. This role includes:Providing a range of service delivery responses to women and children who have experienced family violence, including information, risk assessment and safety planning, case management and facilitated referral. Provide specialist advice, secondary consultation and facilitated referrals across all programs within the Family Safety & Wellbeing ProgramsBuild and maintain positive collaborative relationships within the Crossroads Network and with The Salvation Army (TSA) and partner organisationsAbout Crossroads The Family Safety & Wellbeing Portfolio is a key area of the work undertaken by the Crossroads Youth & Family Services Network. It includes a diverse range of programs responding to families experiencing or at risk of homelessness, women and children facing family violence and women with substance use issues. The Family Safety & Wellbeing portfolio provides a range of short and medium term responses including emergency accommodation, residential rehabilitation, case management, after hours’ crisis support, crisis housing community engagement and advocacy. Crossroads provides services to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people, individuals and families in the north and western metropolitan regions of Melbourne. Services are provided in the following areas: family violence; youth housing and homelessness; family programs; AOD; financial and general counselling and asylum seeker and refugee support. The Crossroads Family Violence Service (CFVS) operates within the State Social Command Victoria of The Salvation Army Southern Territory (TSA).
