Step by step, this class will help guide you how to find a job if you are unemployed or anticipating a career transition. The Crossroads Course for Career Transition is based upon the "7-Step Workbook" developed by Crossroads Career Network (see ). This course is sponsored by the non-profit North Atlanta Crossroads group, an all-volunteer team of career ministry leaders from Atlanta churches. We have organized more than 60 courses and more than 900 attendees have participated! Many have favorably compared the class to training from outplacement services costing much more!

Our next class begins THURSDAY, September 12, at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta (MARTA accessible!). The class includes 7 sessions, and you should plan to attend all 7 sessions. Each step assumes you have successfully completed the previous step, so it is not a "drop-in" class. The schedule for this class:

We have assembled a team of expert facilitators ? professionals who are experienced in the working world as well as career ministry program leaders at major churches in Atlanta, who volunteer their time and energy to help others learn the most effective ways to search for new career opportunities! Most of our team have also been unemployed themselves, so they will understand if you are facing that challenge. You can find more information about our team of facilitators on our site ().

The $40 course fee covers only our direct costs of offering this program (workbooks online career assessment, printed material, light snack, registration and card processing fees) and also helps us to offer the course to those who need it. Our team is not compensated, all are volunteers; facilities are provided at no cost by our host church.

This program is run by volunteers on a non-profit basis. No one is paid and the tuition covers direct costs. We encourage you to pay the full $40 if you can. If you are not able to pay the $40 fee, do not register at this time. Send an email describing your situation to registrar@. You may be eligible to attend on partial "scholarship."

IMPORTANT - REGARDING ATTENDANCE AND OUTSIDE PREPARATION

You should plan to attend ALL 7 sessions. The material is cumulative. If you register and do not show for session 1, your registration may be cancelled. Several hours of outside preparation for each session will be required for the course. You will need to use a computer with internet access to complete the outside assignments. Please register only if you agree to complete the outside work and attend all sessions.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

This class is open to anyone. This program is provided by North Atlanta Crossroads, a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, and the space is provided by our host church. You do not have to be a member of the host church (or of any church) to attend, although you are welcome to programs and all activities at any of our sponsor churches.
