Tuition Assistance Program
For the upcoming school year, families who wish to apply for Level 2 tuition assistance from Immanuel will need to use the FACTS application format online via a confidential web site at .
The required application information is easily accessible data from the 2014 tax return along with other basic information. Copies of confirming tax documents will be required to be sent to the FACTS center. The $30 application fee will be paid by the schools. Parents who have children in more than one participating school need only to fill out the application one time--the information will be available to the schools where their children attend and to Immanuel CRC.
The FACTS organization will analyze the information of each applicant. Through FACTS Immanuel CRC and participating schools have the ability to more evenly distribute available tuition assistance funds based upon factual information the families provide in the application. While the schools and Immanuel CRC will use the same information, the schools will distribute their funds after they know how much assistance Immanuel CRC will provide.
Please contact FACTS at (866) 315-9262 with any questions. The deadline for submitting this application is March 31, 2015. You may also contact Rob Plaisier (616) 745-1647 with questions.

Crossroads Winter Retreat
Grace Adventures in Mears, MI - March 6-8
Because we were unable to secure a date with Camp Roger that didn't interfere with school events, we are having our retreat for high school at Grace Adventures. The format will still be the same...all programing will be done by our leaders. We are required to use their staff/resources for food.
The cost is $81 per student and that covers 2 nights + all food. There will be broomball, basketball, volleyball, and other outdoor activities for the weekend. The weekend will include worship time together, small group discussion, and quiet retreat time with the Lord.
Save the date! There is no cap for this trip, but we will have sign-ups on Facebook and the youth board soon! If you have any questions, please contact Tyler Cook. (Also, please let us know if cost is ever an issue. We don't want to limit students from this opportunity and believe God will always provide!)

The Fourth World
There’s a humanitarian crisis engulfing one-in-six people on planet earth … and the other five are completely unaware of it. One in six of us—over a billion people—live in a slum. Characterized by lack of sanitation, dangerous city zones, and capricious landlords, slums are growing fast.
Join Mark Volkers, professor at Dordt College, on a journey to the world’s slums. His award-winning documentary film, The Fourth World, will be screening at the Pinnacle Center (3330 Highland Drive, Hudsonville, Michigan) on Friday, February 27, at 7PM. Light refreshments will be provided.
The Fourth World—made with student crew—has played at film festivals around the world and has won numerous awards. It has broadcast in many countries and is currently in negotiations with The Discovery Channel. Mark Volkers will present the film and a Q and A as we go inside The Fourth World to discover this hidden sociological time bomb.
