Schéma : Outline
I. Compréhension Aurale: Study all vocabulary in Chapter 4 of « Bien dit » . Of course, prior knowledge of verbs, structures and some vocabulary items in preceding chapters will be included.
A. You will hear conversations about school life and then match these conversations to
pictures that you see. (No examples are provided; 4 items.)
B. You will hear a student in a store asking a sales clerk about items s/he would like to purchase. Then you will answer questions based on your understanding of these conversational exchanges. (No examples are provided ; 4 items.)
C. Les Chiffres (The Numbers/ 0-100) : You will hear numbers in French and then identify them on your exam. Circle the numbers you hear below.(4 items)

B) 66 76 86 75
D. La Réponse logique (Rejoinders): You will hear a question, then choose the response that best answers the question. The questions will not appear on your exam.(8 items)

II. Examen Ecrit :
A. Compréhension de lecture. You will read a student’s school schedule and then answer questions based on your understanding of the reading. Mark sure that you review days of the week, 24 hour time system, names of subject matters and other vocabulary related to the French school day.
B. Compréhension de lecture : Your will read an e-mail a French student writes to his/her friend and then answer questions based on your understanding of the passage. Make sure that you review days of the week, names of subject matters, all school related vocabulary found in a box in Chapter 4 of « Bien dit », including items used at school and expressions like « prêter, » « avoir besoin, » stating opinions, descriptive adjectives, etc.
C. Culture : This is the only portion of your CRT that will be in English. You will have 8 questions based on readings of « Flash Culture » segments and « Culture appliquée » found in chapter 4 of « Bien dit ». Look at pp. 116, 118, 120, 122, 123, 123, 128, 131 & 133. Make sure you know the rules for the 24 hour system of telling time and how Belgian and Swiss French speakers count somewhat differently.
D. L’Heure (Telling time). You will be given clock faces and then determine whether the clock face you see corresponds to the time given. (No clock faces are provided as practice on this study guide, so please refer to your book.)

E. Les Adjectifs Possessifs (Possessive Adjectives) This section of the CRT refers back to Chapter 3 of « Bien dit » on p. 94. You will be asked to choose the possessive adjective that best completes the sentence.
