Activity D403-03

Creating a Table

Directions:

1. Create a 2 x 14 cell table. In the first column and row, key “Car” followed by “Type of Cars” in Row 2. Then key the twelve items in the table below in the remaining 12 rows of the first column.

2. Merge the cells on the first row so that it will be a single cell so that the heading can be centered.

3. In Row 2, Column 2, key the heading “Actual Name of Car.”

4. Now complete the 2nd column with a car name that fits the description in the first column. For example, a Bug = Beetle or Low Singer = Hummer.

5. After you have keyed in the actual car names, select rows 3 – 14 and do an ascending sort on Column 1 to organize your table alphabetically.

6. Apply all the font formatting to the table that you used for D403-02 to enhance it.

7. Select the entire table and remove all grids from it so that no lines will be around your columns.

8. For Rows 2 through the remainder of the table, left align the data and indent so that the rows appear centered under the heading of Row 1.

9. Save as cartable.

10. Email to instructor.
