PREFACE

I nformation, communication and technology (I CT) presents new opportunities for improving access to health services and ensuring efficient management of health resources. This Health Sector I CT Policy and Strategy charts a roadmap for the exploitation, development and deployment of I CT to accelerate the service delivery process. I t is guided by the Ghana I CT for Accelerated Development (I CT4AD) Policy. I am pleased to note that the development of this policy was based on an extensive sector-wide consultation with stakeholders from the public and private sect or s. I therefore call on all players in the health sector to contribute to and support the implementation of the provisions of this policy. This will enable the sector to achieve its vision to improve overall health status and reduce inequalities in health outcomes of people living in Ghana.

Hon. Major Courage Quashigah (rtd.) Minister of Health
