a. Resolution
Mrs. Hibbard recommended Board approval of the following Board Resolution Pertaining to the standardization on the purchase, installation, and service of FIRE TUBE BOILERS and components as manufactured by CLEAVER BROOKS COMPANY.
WHEREAS, On December 6, 2005, the Board enacted a resolution for standardization of bids for certain products specified in the resolution pursuant to New York State General Municipal Law § 103(5), and
WHEREAS, the Board had intended to include standardization of boilers in the resolution, but the language concerning the boilers was inadvertently omitted from the final document,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby
RESOLVED, the Board resolution concerning standardization pursuant to New York General Municipal Law § 103(5) dated December 6, 2005 is hereby amended to include the following language in the body of the resolution:
WHEREAS, the School District has installed FIRE TUBE BOILERS in its schools manufactured by Cleaver Brooks; and the School District wishes to expand these Boiler Systems and improve the operating efficiency of the District’s Heating System; and has trained its maintenance staff on the computer controlled logic and functions of Cleaver Brooks Boilers; and wishes to standardize all components for sustainability and efficiency; and to introduce boiler components manufactured by others would negatively affect the interchangeability and compatibility with the existing boiler system, and the need for District Personnel to become literate in two or more boiler operating systems would negatively affect the District’s ability to maintain and operate an efficient heating system. And it is further
RESOLVED, that the following language shall be included in “therefore” clauses of the subject resolution:
RESOLVED, that the District will standardize on the purchase, installation, and service of FIRE TUBE BOILERS and components as manufactured by CLEAVER BROOKS COMPANY; and be it further
