The tuition for the new students of the academic year 2020-2021 is based on the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which provides a clear and transparent method of calculating the semester and yearly tuition (based on the number of ECTS registered per semester/year).

PRE-UNIVERSITY ENGLISH

Students may need to take pre-university English courses based on their score in the English Placement Test. These courses carry additional teaching hours per week and fewer ECTS and tuition is based on the teaching hours.

TRANSFER OF CREDITS/ECTS Course credits/ECTS completed at other recognised institutions may be transferrable to the University. The Evaluation fee for this is 52. Candidates will need to submit official Transcripts and course descriptions in English.

PAYMENT OF TUITION AND FEES

According to the Migration regulations of Cyprus, International (Non-EU) students are required to be full-time (30 ECTS per semester, 60 ECTS yearly) and pay each semester's tuition and fees in advance. Tuition and other fees are calculated and charged at the beginning of each semester (Fall and Spring). The amount of tuition and fees stated in the Student's Certificate of Admission must be paid in full (unless otherwise specified by the University) by the visa application deadline which is also stated in the aforementioned Certificate.

PAYMENT OPTIONS All payments should be made in Euro () through one of the following payment options. Students are advised to always state their student ID number. 1. The University wishes to support international students who experience financial hardship, and will examine each case, with its relevant documentation, individually.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Partial scholarships based on academic merit and athletic achievements are available.

Based on Previous Academic Performance International students, in their first year at the University, are eligible for a scholarship on the basis of the grades of their High School Leaving Certificate, depending on the country in which this qualification was issued. Scholarships are given as a percentage reduction on tuition and are valid for one academic year.

In order to be eligible for this type of scholarship, students must: ? submit their High School Leaving Certificate and/or Bachelor's Degree upon application, ? pay the whole semester's tuition and fees in advance, and ? be registered on a full time basis (30 ECTS per semester)

More information about this type of scholarship can be obtained from the Admissions Department.

Based on Academic Performance at the University Two regular semesters after the student first registers and every semester thereafter, scholarships will be awarded according to the student's academic performance at the University, as follows:

Notes:

1. Scholarships are not applicable to Postgraduate Programmes (Master or Doctoral) and Medical School Programmes. 2. Students who are eligible for more than one type of scholarship will be awarded the scholarship constituting the highest amount.

VISA PROCEDURE

International students are required to apply for a student visa in order to enter Cyprus. A series of documents must be assembled (e.g. police

character certificate, medical reports, etc.) and must be attested by the appropriate authorities in the student's country. As the attestation process

differs between countries, please contact the Admissions Department for further advice.
