Construct validity, cross-sectional, and long-term longitudinal correlates of encoded arousal and multiple dimensions of couple functioning

Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft e.V. (DFG)

Investigates self-report, observationally coded behavior, and physiological arousal as correlates of encoded arousal. Additionally explores encoded arousal as a cross-sectional predictor of relationship functioning as well as a predictor of both naturally occurring changes in relationship functioning and reponse to a behavioral couple intervention.

Randomized clinical trial of behavioral couple therapies for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

United States Veterans Administration

Investigates the use of behavioral couple therapy for combat veterans who exhibit significant symptoms of PTSD and their spouses. Investigates efficacy of treatments as well as predictors of treatment outcome, including encoded arousal and hard and soft influence tactics, and mechanisms of change.
