Remote Access – NCGConnecting to the CloudIf you have been migrated to the new domain, then you now have access to the new Cloud remote desktop system. Please do not try to use the old Cloud remote desktop system () and please do not try to use your ‘ADMIN\’ account anymore.To access the Cloud remote desktop system going forward, please use the following link: logging in, ensure you prefix your username with the domain ‘NCG\’Once connected to the cloud, click on the ‘NCG RemoteApps’ icon:You may need to open the downloaded file in certain browsers:If you see this window, you can tick ‘Don’t ask me again for remote connections from this publisher’ and click Connect:You will then be prompted for your usernames and password again – ensure you prefix your username with ‘NCG\’ and click ok:You will then be logged onto a virtual NCG desktop machineConnecting to the VPNIf you already have a work device such as a laptop or tablet with the VPN installed, then you can simply follow the below guide to connect to the VPN to access your work resources. Once you are connected to the VPN you do NOT need to then connect to the Cloud – you should only use one or the other.If you need to start the VPN once you’ve logged onto Windows, please follow the below steps:In the taskbar in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, you will see a green shield icon. Right click on the green shield.After right clicking on the green shield icon, a box will open. Click on Connect to “NCG – SSL VPN”The below screen will now be displayed, enter your username and password, which are the same as you use to logon to Windows, and click Connect.If the logon details are correct and the VPN successfully connects, you will see the below screen:You can now minimize the screen and the VPN will continue to be connected to the corporate network. To disconnect from the VPN, maximise the FortiClient screen using the red shield icon in the taskbar and click Disconnect. ................
