Good organizational skills Must be able to physically meet the demands of the position Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to perform job and communicate in a noisy environment Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policiesPosses a valid Wisconsin driver’s licenseREPORTS TO: Food Service Coordinator SUPERVISES: NoneGENERAL FUNCTIONS:Responsible for supervision of meal production and product delivery to all outlying sites; coordination of the catering and concession programs; maintaining the electronic meal accountability system in partnership with the administration, product availability, product quality, security, sanitation, and scheduling guidelines as set by the Director to meet the needs of student, staff and community food service customers.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage and participate in food preparationResponsible for food safety, sanitation, and securityResponsible for district food service product procurement and ensuring that all products utilized within the school meals program comply with the District Wellness InitiativeCoordinates the product delivery to all sites insuring food safety and timely delivery to afford quality food service to all customersMonitors and implements all USDA Commodity products within the menu system including monthly delivery coordination with the prime vendor, Department of Defense and Department of Public InstructionPrepares and maintains all production records in compliance with USDA regulationsSchedules daily work assignments for the High School kitchen staff insuring labor efficiency, product quality, food safety and appropriate sanitation practicesCoordinates catering requests including schedules for production, delivery and Accounts Receivable; may include some weekend workOversees Concessions program for product ordering, cash deposits, customer service, and sanitation compliance Recruits substitute food service workers as neededProvides leadership when the Director is not on siteIdentifies areas for ongoing staff development and training in conjunction with the Food Service CoordinatorParticipates in periodic training and program updates offered through USDA, Department of Public Instruction, and other professional organizations While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and continuously required to stand. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and truck while performing the duties of this job. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds such as boxes, crates, frozen foods, canned food etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception and peripheral vision.Other duties as assignedTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190-days inclusive of holidays; wages, benefits, hours and working conditions to be established by the District Administrator and the Sauk Prairie School District Board of Education.EVALUATION: By the Food Service Coordinator, conducted annually or as prescribed in School Board Policies.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in temperatures above 90 degrees and occasionally will walk on slippery surfaces. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints and interact with public and other workers. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud to where you have to raise your voice to be heard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception and peripheral vision. Normal office and kitchen environment. ................
