They have witnessed several police interactions at the home, fights, public drunkenness and possible drug activity. Mayor Puleo stated this is a rental property. Therefore the owner will be contacted regarding the concerns and an updated Occupancy Permit requested to determine the rightful residents.A resident asked where trash payment checks may be dropped? Mayor Puleo stated the mailbox to the left of the front door.If a resident provides their email address, the trash invoices can be emailed.A resident asked when the potholes on Dallas will be repaired. Mayor Puleo will repair those next week. The DOT inspected the road and noted several patches, abandoned underground structures and AT&T and MSD manholes that make for an uneven roadwaySt. Louis County’s resurfacing of Bayless Avenue is now scheduled for 2023.In order to access Gravois Creek, MSD will be putting a temporary gravel road through Elvira Moll Park. Once the work is complete, the gravel will be removed. Mayor Puleo was contacted by Missouri Conservation Stream Team. If the City forms a Stream Team with as few as 2 or 3 people, Missouri Conservation will donate gloves, bags, etc., for any clean-up projects. Missouri Conservation will help with dethatching the honeysuckle in George Appel Park and donate trees to help slow the erosion into Gravois Creek.In error St. Louis County performed a sewer lateral repair for a resident after the City was out of funds for the year. When funds are received for next year, St. Louis County will deduct the funds for this puter, network & printer updates were done with Capital Improvement funds.The Mayor is getting bids for painting City Hall and updating the playground using Capital Improvement funds.Municipal Court will held 9/9/20, via ZoomClerk Tharp needs a new printer that allows her to scan documents.There has been a good response regarding the City taking over the billing for Republic Service. There were many Senior Citizens in the City that were not receiving a senior discount. They are now receiving a discount and some refunds were given by Republic Service.There will be no Community Yard Sale this year due to Covid19.POLICE REPORT: CHIEF WELGE The problem houses on Ruprecht have been quiet recently.Several police car have required repair in the last month.Officers will not hand out candy Halloween due to Covid19.TREASURER REPORT: JIM MAJEWSKI Trash collection payments have been going well. Treasurer Majewski is hoping to have credit card payments enabled by October.The City audit will start soon.The 2020/2021 budget needs to be completed.HEALTH AND SANITATION – Alice Lotspeich Spoke to a resident on Sandra Court because they are not cutting the grass on the other side of their fence. The resident stated a previous Alderman had told him it is not his property to maintain. The City will check STLC records to determine who owns the property.Spoke to a resident’s attorney regarding the grass at a residence on Dallas. The attorney will have someone over there to cut the grass.Spoke to the owner of a rental property on Ruprecht regarding the trees. Owner stated the trees do not have termites, but he will trim them back anyway. He is trimming the bushes & trees invading the shared fence. He is also going to speak to the renter regarding putting trash back after trash day.Received a report from Officer Carbonell regarding the condition of a home on Fawn dCircle inside & outside.
