Selecting equipment to help

meet the goals

Getting Started with Grant Writing

? Write down 3-5 sensory tools you could use for a small sensory room space and up to 15-20 for a larger sensory space.

? Consider focusing on 12 higher ticket items, if your budget allows.

Make the Dream List

? Order sensory catalogs from the main sensory producers: Southpaw Enterprises, Flaghouse, eSpecial Needs, Special Needs Toys, Fun and Function, Tumble Trak, etc.

? Go to as many science and children's museums as possible.

? Investigate gaming culture and furniture ideas.

Get Organized

? List name of the grant ? List deadline ? List amount they will

fund ? List what they will fund

(and sometimes what they won't) ? List website ? List outcome
