Enter it on the right side of the timeline. Fill in the remaining hash marks with the appropriate numbers. Divide the step 4 value by 2, this is your halfway point, divide by 2 again, this is your first quarter. Add the first quarter value to the half; this is your three-quarter value. Divide the first quarter value by 20. Note that number and add that to the three quarter value. Continue to add until you have a value for each hash mark on the bottom line. This is the value between each of the small hash marks at the end of your line. For most of you, each of these will represent about two months of time, which is 1.25% of the entire line. The bottom line is an enlargement of the last 1/8 of the top line. Label the bottom of both lines in percentages in the same manner as above.Pick 10 events in your life that are memorable. Try to start as far back as you can. For example, when you first walked, talked, learned to ride a bike, etc. Assign a date to each event, if you don’t know the exact date, estimate. Use a similar conversion from above to convert the date into days. (See Table 2) Subtract each number of days from the total number of days of your life and divide that number again by the total and multiply by 100. This is the percentage of time that has passed since you were born. Log each event on your timeline.
