but the way of the wicked leads them astray

• Proverbs 17:17

• Romans 12:9-13

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality”

• 1 Thessalonians 4:11-13

“Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody”

• I Corinthians 13:1-8

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.” 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails

“When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot

be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted

when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after

desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown,

gives birth to death.”

• I Cor. 6:18-20

“Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his

body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not

know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”

• Psalm 34:3

Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together
