Abstract

This presentation will describe the FBI's Cyber Crime Program and discuss the different types of cyber threats targeting internet users, as well as threats targeting our national security.

Rodney Naramore is an FBI Special Agent. He began his career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in January 1995. After completing his training at the FBI Academy, he was assigned to the Miami Field Office where he conducted criminal investigations involving white collar crime, public corruption, violent crime and terrorism. In 2003, Agent Naramore was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent and assigned to FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. There he managed the FBI Cyber Division’s Cyber Training Program. In 2004, Agent Naramore was assigned to the newly established Directorate of Intelligence where he assisted in the development of the FBI’s Intelligence Program. In 2006, Agent Naramore was promoted to the Columbia Field Office where he supervised Cyber Crime investigations for the State of South Carolina. In 2007, Agent Naramore was assigned to investigate national security threats targeting the United States. Currently Agent Naramore is assigned to the Cyber Crime Program where he conducts criminal investigations involving cyber threats to national security, computer intrusions, intellectual property rights, theft of trade secrets, child pornography and internet fraud. Agent Naramore has a Master of Science degree in Information and Telecommunication Systems from The Johns Hopkins University.
