The multiple-choice answers were written in mathematical equation but the problem was written in words. I knew how to solve the mathematical problem but I did not know what they asked me to find in the word problem. It made me pick the wrong answer because it was confuse and it did not give me any hint or demonstrate me as a non English speaker clearly enough. It was like I was in conscious competence of Maslow’s Four Stages of Learning. The individual understands or know how to do something.
