Childcare Provider

Schedule: Part-Time Paid Position (as needed) Reports to: Childcare Coordinator

The Children's Ministry nurtures and teaches children in a safe, loving environment where they can come to know God and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The Childcare Provider reports to the Childcare Coordinator. Providing childcare is a team effort. Our workers must work as a team to provide the safest environment for the children of Valley Bible Church.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise children during various events/classes/ministries in order to ensure their physical and spiritual well-being. Interact and play with children. Follow all Childcare policies. May be asked to lead activities once in a while. Take care of basic needs for all ages of children.

Position Details Childcare is provided on a weekly basis on Wednesday and Thursday nights, as well as for Special Events that take place on various dates and times. Workers are not required to work all shifts. Shifts are on a rotating schedule. Childcare is offered to children from ages 2 months to 5th grade.

Position Qualifications o Know Jesus as Savior and Lord of their life o At least 16 years of age o Must evidence Christian maturity and continue to grow in his/her walk o Enjoy interacting with children o Able to work well with other adults o Be able to demonstrate patience and love as you interact with children o Must be able to work without direct supervision

Skills/Requirements o Must adhere to all Childcare policies (as stated in Policy handout) and is required to interact with children while working with them. o Must follow all "Child Safety Policies" o Complete a Children's Ministry Job Application o Be interviewed by the Childcare Director o Watch the Abuse Video o Be fingerprinted and pass volunteer certification
