1. Summarize and Discuss Ruth Chapter 1. When did this story take place? What did Ruth and Naomi need? What was their situation? What kind of person was Ruth? (1:16-17) Where do you see God working?

2. Summarize and Discuss Ruth Chapter 2. What needs were met? How had their situation improved? What needs remained? Was there hope? What kind of man was Boaz? What attracted Boaz to Ruth? (2:11-12) Where do you see God working?

3. Summarize and Discuss Ruth Chapter 3. What did you think of Naomi’s plan? What needs did Boaz promised to meet? (3:12-13) Where do you see God working?

4. Summarize and Discuss Ruth Chapter 4.

a. In the Old Testament what does it mean to be a (Kinsman) redeemer?

b. Why did the first redeemer change his mind? Why as he unwilling to redeem Ruth from Moab?

5. Boaz had the right, the resources and the resolve to redeem Ruth. How does Boaz point to our redeemer, Jesus Christ? Why is Jesus the only one in all of history who can truly redeem?
