Definition- the science of place and space.

Physical Geography- the study of places on earth
Cultural Geography- the study of the interaction between places and the people who live in them.

Definition- the study of systems for producing, distributing, exchanging and consuming goods and services.
III. Political Science
Definition- the study of how people think, organize and act politically.
IV. Anthropology
Definition- the study of cultures and the differences both physical and cultural between their peoples.
V. Sociology
Definition- the study of people, how they form and how they function.
VI. Philosophy
Definition- the study of the formation of ideas.
VII. History
Definition- the study of the past in both the social sciences and the humanities with interpretive and explanatory comment.
VIII. Archaeology
Definition- the study of the material remains of the past in order to understand and explain human behavior.
IX. Psychology
Definition- the study of behavior, animal or human, instinctive and learned.
