Managers' Competency Skill Level and Definition Matrix

1. Competency (Level 1): Achievement of basic skills and knowledge expectations in a given competency area 2. Fluency (Level 2): Achievement of a more complete level of knowledge and skill in a given area, coupled with a sustained application of such competency over time 3. Mastery (Level 3): Achievement of a higher order level of knowledge and skill in a given area, sustained over time, and demonstrated in a variety of supervisory situations and applications 4. Mastery in Leadership (Level 4): Providing sustained leadership in a demonstrated mastery of skills and knowledge of a given competency area, including effective modeling and teaching

to staff subordinates and colleagues

What are "LMD Foundations"?

"Leadership and Management Development (LMD): Foundations" are series of workshops for people who are new managers or who are looking ahead to becoming managers in the future.
