This compound, BPA or bis-phenol A, has been implicated in perhaps causing some types of long term illnesses however the data is far from clear as to if the compound does cause problems, what type of problems might occur and who might be at risk. In particular, there have been questions regarding this BPA compound and dental materials, in particular, the sealant material used for sealing and protecting children’s teeth. To alleviate any potential concerns, we thought it was important that you know that, the sealant material we use at Goodheart Dental is verified by the manufacturer as BPA free. So regardless of whether this compound BPA is truly a concern or not, we’ve decided that with the evidence linking it to problems yet to be proven or disproven, it’s the right thing to do in eliminating it from use.
