EXECUTIVE BOARD RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION NO. OR-19-013 September 19, 2019

WHEREAS,

The Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry has requested, pursuant to Sections 212 and 709(b) of The Administrative Code of 1929, approval to rename the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board to the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Board; transfer the Office of Administration, Office of Unemployment Compensation Programs, Office of Compensation and Insurance, Office of Workforce Development, and the Executive Director, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation from the Secretary to the Executive Deputy Secretary; transfer the Unemployment Compensation (UC) Board of Review from the Secretary to the Executive Deputy Secretary; transfer the Office of Policy, Planning, and Development from the Secretary to the Executive Deputy Secretary and rename it the Policy Office; transfer Legislative Affairs from the Secretary to the Executive Deputy Secretary and rename it the Legislative Affairs Office; transfer the Press Office from the Secretary to the Executive Deputy Secretary and rename it the Communications Office; and transfer the Workers' Compensation Office of Adjudication from the Office of Compensation and Insurance to the Executive Deputy Secretary; and

WHEREAS,

The Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry further requests approval to transfer the Financial Management Office from the Secretary to the Office of Administration and rename it the Bureau of Financial Management; abolish the Cost Model and Budget Divisions in the Financial Management Office; rename the Field Accounting Service Division in the Office of Unemployment Compensation Programs, Office of Unemployment Compensation Tax Services to the Audit and Compliance Division; abolish the Office of Information Technology and its bureaus and divisions; and abolish the Bureau of Human Resources and its divisions; Therefore, be it

RESOLVED,

That the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry is hereby granted approval to make the above-mentioned changes; and, be it further

RESOLVED,

That the attached organizational chart reflecting the above changes will be submitted to the Legislative Reference Bureau for publication in the Pennsylvania Bulletin and Pennsylvania Code.
