1. Financial Updates ? The FY20 audit will be presented to the Board of Selectmen at the March 2nd Selectmen's meeting by the audit firm Melanson. ? The FY21 proposed budget was presented to the Finance Committee on February 9th. The Finance Committee began its budget review by discussing several smaller departments. ? The Capital Planning Committee is nearing completion of their FY22 CIP recommendations. They will be presenting their recommendations to the Finance Committee in early March.

2. Personnel Updates ? Members of the Conservation Commission and I interviewed Conservation Agent candidates on February 12th. I anticipate an offer being made to the chosen candidate soon. ? Legal counsel has informed me that the Interim Tax Collector has the authority to recommend appointment of a Deputy Tax Collector. I will be working with the Collector to determine the most qualified candidate. ? Contract negotiations for the Police and Fire Chief are nearly complete. Collective bargaining with both police unions is ongoing. The Board will be updated at an Executive Session meeting on February 23rd.

3. Project Updates ? The Town Clerk and his staff have contacted the current website provider inquiring about upgrading the current Town website. The website provider has a couple of options that they will present to staff in the near future. If their options are not sufficient, other website hosting companies will be solicited. If necessary, I will be requesting funding in the FY22 budget to fund a new website.

4. COVID Updates ? Kingston's COVID positivity rate continues to trend down. The current positivity rate is 4.41%. Because of this rate improvement, Kingston's status has been upgraded from red to yellow. ? CVS has opened 11 new sites for vaccination today in Massachusetts, the locations were determined by the federal government. The locations closest to us are (2) New Bedford,

(1) Fall River, (1) South Yarmouth, (1) Falmouth, (1) Weymouth. The others were spread out along the north shore and western mass. The CVS in Kingston is not sure when they will receive the vaccine but will let the Health Officer know as soon as they find out. ? The Plymouth Town Manager and I sent a letter requesting the State open a regional vaccination center at the Kingston Collection.

5. Miscellaneous Updates ? I have had the opportunity to meet with many Department Heads as part of my onboarding. I have also met with the School Superintendent.
