Descriptive Paragraph

Guidelines:

? Every sentence must start with a different word.

? There are six sentences

Sentence 1: Opening sentence sets the scene

Sentence 2: sentence starts with an adverb

Sentence 3: sentence has a simile

Sentence 4: a short and powerful sentence

Sentence 5: a long sentence (which can have a metaphor or simile)

Sentence 6: the closing sentence (which can be a question?)

This is NOT a story but a descriptive paragraph.

Example:

The Arctic

A cruel blizzard blows through the Arctic. Perfectly the white polar bears soft fur

camouflages him well. Like black, hard marbles, his eyes shine beautifully. His bulky

body uses his giant padded paws. The king of the Arctic makes its way to its den,

walking slowly across an ice shelf. In the pale moonlight will he make it home?
