All school districts receiving Title I funds are required under Sections 8304, 1111, 1112, & 1116 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) to notify parents of key Title I requirements. ESSA requires that the SEA monitor LEA compliance with parental notification requirements.
