Usage Normative for FIL, CCL and PT Meeting Centre networks
Lisboa - Feiras Congressos e Eventos (Lisboa-FCE) provides on FIL’s premises – Centro de Exposições e Congressos de Lisboa (FIL), Centro de Congressos de Lisboa (CCL) and PT Meeting Centre, located at Parque das Nações, Wi-Fi network services and/or Internet access cables through a licensed operator, who is under obligation to comply with the legal rules and regulations in effect.
The Usage Normative for FIL, CCL and PT Meeting Centre Networks apply to the entire premises and all organizers, exhibitors and respective subcontracted staff or collaborators are legally bound by it.
The exhibitor or organizer is responsible for the compliance of these policies, for themselves, and for all their suppliers and all their staff, whether working directly or indirectly, who execute contracted work and in the interest of the exhibitor and/or organizer.
The exhibitor and/or organizer undertakes to provide knowledge of the present normative to all their subcontracted companies, or to whomever collaborate with them in the exhibition or event, insofar if the work provided by them is correlated to the content of the present normative.
The Wi-Fi access voucher or wired network (provided by Lisboa FCE) users should comply with the laws and legal norms in effect concerning Internet usage and access and abstain from practice of any illicit acts, or that may be construed as such in the legal context, regarding the access usage. Lisboa FCE, in the scope of its cooperation obligations with the justice system can provide, when called upon by the relevant authorities, the identification data of the user(s) to whom the Wi-Fi or wired network access(es) were provided.
Please note that nowadays many common objects and equipment implement Wi-Fi networks (video projectors, sound tables, televisions, furniture, etc.) whereby exhibitors and organizers should draw up a thorough and extensive inventory of all their equipment to be installed at the event under their responsibility as well as their characteristics, for verification of compliance of the Usage Normative of FIL, CCL and PT Meeting Centre networks.
For non- intensive usage, of smartphones and tablets, the exhibitor, the organizer and visitors may acquire Wi-Fi accesses at Lisboa FCE services in accordance with the conditions of the present normative and with the established prices, made known for the event.
Intensive and more demanding usage situations should be provided by resorting to standard solutions for wired network.
For any other specific requirements for Wi-Fi and wired network, you should contact our services in proper advance on account of assessment, project elaboration acceptance and implementation thereof.
1. Usage Policies of Wi-Fi Networks
The implementation of Wi-Fi access points by exhibitors or organizers is expressly forbidden whether for Internet connection or for providing other functionalities. The objective behind this policy is to avoid interference problems which may cause malfunction of the authorized Wi–Fi networks.
We recommend the use of recent devices for Wi-Fi network usage, which function in the frequency range of 5 GHz, and are less prone to interference.
The available Wi-Fi networks are destined to be used with terminal equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets or equivalent whereas the implementation of other Wi-Fi networks is not permitted, whatever their nature, anywhere on the event’s premise. Any devices that implement Wi-Fi networks (visible or hidden) or that send out signals in the frequencies of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, are included in this interdiction.
2. Usage Policies of Wired Network
The use of wired network is destined exclusively for terminal equipment, whereas the use of any other equipment for network distribution is not permitted (routers, switches, hubs, access points/antennas, etc.).
3. Penalizations in case of noncompliance
Lisboa-FCE and its authorized operator cannot be liable for any anomalies occurring on account of non-authorized connection use.
Any use of distribution network or Wi-Fi splitting equipment on the premises without prior consent of Lisboa-FCE shall be considered a violation of the established policies.
In situations of noncompliance of the established normative, Lisboa-FCE reserves the right to undertake all measures considered necessary for the well-functioning of the networks, from deactivation of the equipment to the closing of the stand.
In instances where the causal link is proven between damages and/or losses incurred by Lisboa-FCE and/or third parties, due to misuse of equipment or unauthorized action in regards to the present normative, the offenders will be constituted liable to pay compensation for those same losses, regardless of any other measures which may be undertaken to protect the violated interests and rights.
