HUMAN BODY REVIEW PROJECT GUIDELINES

Team Members: __________________________ & __________________________

Body System: ________________________________________

Your team’s job is to prepare a presentation to educate your classmates about one of the body systems that makes up the human body. Using Google Slides, you and your partner will need to create a slideshow that reviews all of the information we’ve learned so far for each system. While you present the information, your other classmates will take notes to use as a review for our Unit 3 test.

Your presentation must include the following requirements:

Slide 1: Title Page

Write the name of your organ system and who is in your group.

Slide 2: Introduction

Describe where your organ system is located.

Slide 3: Functions

Describe the major functions of your organ system.

Slide 4: Diagram/Major organs

Provide a detailed diagram of your body system with the major parts or organs. Each organ or part must be labeled with its name listed.

Slide 5: Vocabulary

Include a list of your system’s important vocabulary terms and their definitions.

Slide 6: Teamwork/Functions

Explain how your body system works with other systems in the body. Give 2 examples.

Slide 7: Disorders/Diseases

List and explain one disorder or disease that is associated with your body system.

Slide 8: Staying Healthy

Explain what people can do to keep this system healthy.

Slide 9: Fun Facts

Find 2 interesting facts about your body system or its parts.

Slide 10: Resources

List all resources you used for the information in your presentation. You are REQUIRED to use one print resource (not including your notes) for this project. If you used it, it MUST be listed.

Presentation Hints

□ Presentation

• Both of you must speak during the presentation.

• Did everyone share responsibilities for preparing the presentation?

• Was the information presented in an organized manner?

• Do you “know” the information? You should know the information well enough that you do not need to read it word-for-word off note cards or the slides.

• Don’t talk to the screen!

• Did you practice? Run through your presentation a few times!

□ Slideshow

• Don’t make your slideshow too fancy - keep it simple!

• Make sure you do not put too many words on each slide. That is distracting to the audience and takes too long for the presenter to read.

• Don’t use fonts that are difficult for you or your audience to read.

• Use colors that blend well together. Yellow on a white background is not a good combination!
