|OVERVIEW |

MNACVPR is pleased to present its 23rd Annual State Conference, held this year at the Eagan Community Center in Eagan, MN.   MNACVPR is fortunate to welcome renowned presenters who will provide valuable information that will motivate and energize the body and spirit.

| OBJECTIVES |

At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

• Describe the incidence of Alzheimer’s Disease in the aging population

• Describe a method of exercise prescription for older adults with mild to moderate dementia

• Discuss how lifestyle and eating choices impact health Discuss 5-2-1-0 for Family Lifestyle choices

• Describe the effects of physical activity on weight-related health problems without changes in body weight or body fat

• Show by using published research that overweight and moderate obesity are frequently not associated with higher mortality rates

• Gain a basic understanding of some of the major components of the system of medicine called Oriental Medicine

• Learn some patterns common to chronic pain and chronic illness

• Gain knowledge of latest AACVPR agenda

• Learn how AACVPR has influenced the profession of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation

• Learn the difference between anger and hostility

• Learn to assess and respond to patients with hostility that impedes their rehabilitation

• Benefits of registry, participation, and current status of registry

• Data elements, interface, reporting features and how to subscribe

• Able to describe 2 issues that create an oxygen dose variability

• Ability to describe two methods to titrate oxygen therapy for home application

• Describe guidelines for acceptance into a Bariatric Surgery program

• Increase knowledge of working with patients with pacemakers in Cardiopulmonary Rehab
