A Font is a complete set of characters with the same typeface or design. Formatting text with different fonts is a good way to change the appearance of the document.

Font Face: Refers to the character typeface or design.

Viewing the Font List

There are many more font faces. To view all the Font faces, go to the Home tab. Under the Font group, click the Font List down arrow to the left of the font size. A drop down list of font face will display. Use the scroll bar to move up and down the list.

If you selected the text in your document before displaying the font list, notice that the font changes depending upon what font your cursor is pointing to. The font faces that display in your computer depend upon the type of printer that is attached to your computer.

From the Formatting Toolbar, click on the Font Size list arrow ( ▼ ) and pick any of the sizes listed by clicking on the desired font size and begin to type.
