Dangerous Jobs – Teacher's Guide

Overview

The students will read about jobs that are dangerous jobs around the world. The students will prepare a poster or multimedia presentation about one job and a speech explaining why the student thinks he/she would be qualified or not for this job.

Students can access all the Internet sites for the Interactive Activities by clicking on Students' Area in the ECB On-line homepage, then click on:

• Interactive Activity links - The links to the Internet sites are listed under the names of the activities.

Procedure

Ask: What job do you think is the most dangerous? Why? What make this job so dangerous?

Give the students Dangerous Job Activity. Ask them to complete the activity.

Discuss their findings.

Presentation

Prepare a poster or multimedia presentation about the job you chose. The poster or multimedia presentation should reflect what you learned above.
