2012 CFD Statewide campaign theme: I GIVE.

Purpose:

• Promote a spirit of service and giving, and strengthening partnerships with non-profit organizations

• Raise awareness of the CFD through education and morale boosting fundraisers and events

Goals:

• Increase the level of participation through monthly payroll deduction and fundraising events

• Unify the agency through a positive Combined Fund Drive experience

Fundraising and events:

• Kick Off Event – Chili Cook Off with Charity Fair, speaker and payroll deduction sign-up – September

• Appreciation Fundraiser – Handmade Cards – The Ronald McDonald House - October

• Silent Auction – CFD Fund – October

• Bowl-a-Thon – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Thurston County – October

• Benefit Concert – Community Youth Services, Haven House – November

• Food Drive – Thurston County Food Bank – November

• “I GIVE.” photos

Participation and partnerships:

• CFD County Committee – assist with Charity Fair

• Washington State Combined Fund Drive staff – digital story creation, HCA specific “I GIVE.” posters

Volunteer commitments:

• Dependability is critical for a successful campaign

• Campaign Leader & Co-Leader – 15 hours/week July-December, 6 hours/week April-June

• Lead Volunteer Team – 4 hours/week July-December

• Event Lead / Division Local Coordinators (approx. 1 per 75 staff) – 4 hours/week July-December

• Hours will vary depending on the size of the team and event

Meeting experiences:

• Team cohesiveness

• Open communication

• Respect for other team members – we may not agree, but value each other’s opinions

• Formalized decision making process

• Give pride in ownership through titles related to tasks

Team Recognition:

• Recognition letters for individual’s personnel files and copies for supervisors

• End of campaign recognition event for volunteers
