JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Location: Parents Against Child Sexual Exploitation (Pace), Waverley House, Unit 10, Killingbeck Drive, Leeds LS14 6UF

Responsible to: Head of Policy, Research and Communications

Job Hours: 16 hours / week

Salary: EITHER – Employee @ £30,000 pro rata: £10,800 actual (12,960)

OR – Freelance @ £200 per day for 65 days (13,000)

Contract: Maternity Cover for 10 months

Job Specification

The Digital Communications Officer will manage Pace’s social media and digital communications; digitally market our national training programme; and oversee the updating of Pace’s website working with our website consultant.

Main tasks and responsibilities

1. Develop, implement and evaluate the social media and digital campaigns strategy in order to raise awareness of the work of Pace and continue to build and engage with active online community networks of supporters, affected parents and stakeholders.

2. Manage and oversee the content of the website including online advice, editorial, community-outreach efforts, fundraising, etc.

3. Continue to develop an online marketing strategy for our training programme in partnership with the Head of CommunicationsDevelopment, Partnerships and Training.

4. Continue to develop and manage Pace’s presence in social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter, and seeding content into social applications as needed.

5. Write and disseminate a monthly newsletter to internal and external stakeholders, using Mail Chimp.

6. Continue to measure the impact of social media activity against set objectives. Analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.

Other Tasks and Responsibilities

7. To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal to ensure this post develops within the agreed strategy for Pace’s work with affected parents.

8. To take part in any further training as agreed with the Head of Policy, Research and Communications.

9. To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as agreed with the Head of Communications.Policy, Research and Communications.

10. To carry out all of the above in accordance with the vision, mission and ethos of Pace, and within the business plan and policies of the organisation.
