SUMMER PROGRAMS

There are thousands of programs available with varying price tags and locations. Most colleges hold summer academic or discovery programs for high school students on their campus. It is suggested that students look for summer programs in which they can earn credit, as those are sure to be taught by faculty. It is up to the student to research if the credit is transferable to the college they attend to earn their degree.

If an opportunity requires nomination, please send your counselor an email with the necessary information. Also, please give teachers at least two weeks to a full month to complete letters of recommendation. Transcripts can be sent through the website; .

Some programs give special consideration to students with financial need and some offer full or partial scholarships based on academics and/or financial need.

These are just a sampling – many selected because they are local/low-cost/free.

This is a fluid document, and many programs have NOT been re-verified for 2019
