Direct and Indirect Characterization

Instructions: Complete the following chart as we go through the novel.. (For your convenience!)

For each character presented, you will find a quotation which clues us in to something about their character. Copy that quotation into the second column. In the third column, explain what we learn about that character from the quotation. In the final column, identify whether your quotation is an example of direct or indirect characterization. Be prepared to discuss your findings with the class. (There are multiple boxes for some characters because of the amount of material necessary).
