Purpose of Job

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)

The following areas of responsibility entail 95% of the VP of Corporate Communications time:

Department Management: Establish and maintain a professional, trained and motivated staff through effective team building, performance and career-development programs.

Vendor Management: Assess, establish and maintain outside agency and vendor relationships to effectively support corporate initiatives.

Product Management: Identify, assess, develop, promote, and maintain profitable marketing products and services that support the organization's business and sales goals and/or create new revenue opportunities. -Internet -Social Media -Video Content -Intranet -New product development -Branding and collateral materials

Product Management: Identify, assess, develop, promote, and maintain marketing programs that support the organization's business and sales goals and/or create new revenue opportunities. -Corporate advertising and marketing campaigns -Corporate direct mail programs -Newspaper and print advertising initiatives -Public relations programs -Internal and external communications programs -Special events

Financial Management: Develop and maintain a balanced budget for all corporate advertising, marketing and communications initiatives.

Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (0 ? 5%)

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field; or equivalent work experience. Advanced management and marketing training.

2. Eight years of related experience in a marketing/advertising environment, including three years supervisory / management responsibilities.

3. Strong business computer skills. 4. Financial skills to manage the operational budget. 5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. 6. Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Possess a high level of creativity, imagination

and entrepreneurial spirit. 7. Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. 8. Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently. Willingness to travel when necessary
