This individual assists the Director of Arizona Operations in recruiting and enrolling students, student advising and support services, community appearances and presentations, and helps manage logistics and facility usage. QUALIFICATIONSMust have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a strong desire to serve others and a commitment to being a faithful steward of college resourcesStrong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skillsGood organization and time management skillsPossess a high level of problem solving skillsAbility to execute multiple projects and tasks concurrentlyAbility to learn and embrace technology such as comprehensive database and learning management systemsHigh regard for assisting and supports studentsFlexibility for limited evening or weekend workBachelor’s degree requiredRESPONSIBILITIES:Academic and Student SuccessServes as liaison between students and other university offices for current and new students (business, financial aid, IT, registrar, ACE, counseling, etc.).Assist the Director of Academic Excellence with student accommodations. Responsible for reporting retention numbers for Huntington University and with our community partner, MCCCD. Coordinate transfer evaluations for new and current students with registrar and faculty.Support faculty in advising students regarding matriculation and student success. Assists faculty in scheduling classes and use of labs and other student space.Assist with core curriculum scheduling and adjunct instructor identification.Processes change of registration forms, student IDs, applications for applied learning, student employee forms, etc. Assist in the coordination of HU Arizona’s commencement exercises.Establish, coordinate, and implement student connection events throughout the academic year (e.g., Tie Dye Party, Movie Night, Craft Night, Murder Mystery Party, Laser Tag, Back to School Bash, White Elephant Gift Exchange, Christmas Minute-to-Win-it, Easter Egg Hunt).Create digital signage content with announcements, reminders, words of encouragement, etc.Create and design bulletin boards around the school to keep students informed (e.g., semester schedule, Forester Care, Event Flyers, Job Opportunities, Mentors).Connect students with resources when academic or personal issues arise (e.g., Forester Care, Tutoring).Supervisor RolesProvides supervision of Admission Counselor(s) Provides supervision of Admission Outreach SpecialistSupervision of Student Ambassadors for the following (virtual or in-person):Prospective Student ToursGroup Visits (e.g., high school media classes, PSBN, homeschool workshop)Huntington University Arizona Events (e.g., Forester Fridays, New Student Orientation)Community Events (e.g., college fairs, high school visits)TutoringMentoringConsult social media content (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube) with Social Media ManagerSupervision of Student Front Desk Workers Recruiting and EnrollmentThe following are recruitment and enrollment expectations:Weekly virtual meeting with VP for Enrollment and Marketing and Director of Communication to discuss enrollment growth and marketing outreach.Works with admission counselor and main campus offices (e.g., business, financial aid, registrar) to plan and implement New Student RegistrationWorks with admission counselor to plan and implement New Student Orientation Assist admission counselor with summer melt events Community Partnership Liaison with ACC, NACCAP, and MCCCDIf an admission counselor(s) cannot perform their duties, as their supervisor, you will be expected to assume the following responsibilities:Assists with recruiting events.Assists with prospective student mailings/phone calls for recruiting. Distributes relevant information (application process, program requirements, financial aid info, etc.) to prospective students and maintains contact through mail, email, and phone.Assists prospective students with the application and admissions process.Coordinates campus visits and official visit days with prospective students. Meets with prospective students to assist with recruiting.Represents Huntington University programs at college fairs or relevant venues as needed.Logistics and Facility SupervisionWorks with the Director of Arizona Operations to manage the following:Provides a welcoming and professional presence at the site.Manages the Peoria educational site (e.g., maintain communication with cleaning staff, keep supplies on hand, schedule classroom usage, keep classrooms in optimal condition, etc.).Arranges for entrance to be unlocked and classrooms ready.Manages keys for the site.Spiritual FormationIs comfortable sharing faith and being a spiritual mentor to students.Provides input and support for the spiritual formation program at the Arizona location.WORK ENVIRONMENT/DRESS CODEIndoor work, office setting, business casual.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTLimitedPHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOBNone noted.This job description is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements.
