The Office of Talent Management – Learning & Development (TMLD) consists of 70 Learning and Talent specialists. Talent Management leadership works closely with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that we attract, recruit, develop and retain superior talent to create a high performing workforce. Our learning and talent strategy supports all aspects of talent alluded to in the agency strategic goals and key initiatives. Our learning initiatives are focused on ensuring the ongoing development of skills and abilities of our Program and Support staff in their quest to meet the needs of our customers—2 million citizens of the state of Tennessee. Key aspects of our work are Talent Reviews and ultimate succession planning to be accomplished through strategic leadership development activities and established leadership academies. We are searching for a candidate who can assist us in effective marketing, sourcing and selection processes—who can build and maintain strong relationships with divisional hiring managers and their teams. This individual will also support all other aspects of Talent Management to include Learning. This position reports to the Director Talent Management – Learning & Development. Position Responsibilities:Primary responsibility for Talent Acquisition (Recruiting) at the preferred and executive service levels to create, implement, and support creative strategies to proactively build an ongoing pipeline of diverse talent. This individual will work collaboratively with the agency’s HR Team.Development and implementation of a recruitment process learning model for hiring managersSupport divisional managers using a consultative approach in areas of recruiting and talent related organizational needsDetermine process improvement for high turnover areasOversight for determining appropriate data and data processes for assessing talent and learning opportunities and decision makingDirect management and supervision of the Administrative and Learning Production StaffSupport the existing implementation of our Career Development and Mentoring processesAssist Director in monthly reporting and monitoringAssist Director in driving Talent and Learning StrategyActive involvement in Learning and Development metricsPosition Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in HR, Business, Instructional Design, Adult Education or related field.
