Textbook: Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications, 7th edition, by Kenneth H. Rosen.

Calculators: A calculator capable of doing factorials, permutations, and combinations is required for this course. An internet and e-mail account is required for all students.

Prerequisites: Minimum sophomore standing (25 credits); MAT 210, MAT 251, MAT 265, or MAT 270 with grade C or higher.

Withdrawal deadlines: June 7 (course withdrawal), July 12 (complete withdrawal)

Attendance Policy: For Summer semesters, classes that meet five days a week, the maximum number of allowed absences is four (4). Students who exceed the number of allowed absences will receive a grade of EN.

Grading: The breakdown is as follows: a midterm exam worth 25%, Final Exam worth 25%; Homework, Quizzes, Participation and all else worth 50%.

Grading Scale: A+ >97%, A 93-97%, A- 90-93%, B+ 87-90%, B 83-87%, B- 80-83%, C+ 77-80%, C 70-77%, D 60-70%, E ................
