| |II. SUPPLEMENTAL RECRUITMENT MEASURES |

| | |

| |In compliance with the FCC’s EEO rules and as part of a continuing long-term effort to improve its mailing lists, ABC Radio |

| |Chicago has made the following efforts to inform qualifying groups how they can be placed on the stations’ mailing lists to learn|

| |of future vacancies: |

| | |

| |Internet – ABC Radio Chicago created a form letter that organizations can print out, complete, and mail/fax back to ABC Radio |

| |Chicago to be placed on the stations’ job vacancy mailing lists. This form letter has been placed on the website of WMVP(AM)’s |

| |website, but not onthat of WRDZ(AM)’s website, which is geared strictly toward children. Two organizations contacted the station|

| |during this reporting year after seeing the form on WMVP(AM)’s website. Both organizations were promptly added to ABC Radio |

| |Chicago’s mailing list for job openings. |

| |On-air Announcements – ABC Radio Chicago aired announcements on each of its stations stating that the station is an equal |

| |opportunity employer and that any organization wishing to be placed on the mailing list to learn of future job vacancies can |

| |contact the station. WMVP(AM) and WRDZ(AM) ran these on-air announcements at least two days per month, during varied time slots |

| |throughout each station’s schedule, throughout the reporting year. |

| |Individual Outreach – During this reporting year. ABC Radio Chicago reached out individually to 100+ organizations, including |

| |minority and women organizations, via phone, e-mail, and fax, informing them that they can remain on or be added to the company’s|

| |mailing lists for job vacancies. Since 7/15/06, thirty-eight organizations have responded positively to this personal invitation|

| |by requesting to remain on or be added to the mailing list. |

| | |

| |Announcements regarding future job openings have been sent and will continue to be sent to all of these organizations. (See |

| |Attachment A) |

| | |

| |ABC Radio Chicago will continue to strive to update, refine, and expand its mailing lists through further efforts like these in |

| |the months and years ahead and intends to use the improved mailing lists for virtually all job openings. |

| | |

| |III. LONG-TERM RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES |

| | |

| |In addition to the Supplemental Recruitment obligations listed above, ABC Radio Chicago is committed to performing at least four |

| |of the long-term EEO recruitment initiatives set forth in the FCC’s EEO rules within a two-year period. Indeed, during the |

| |one-year period from July 16, 2006, through July 15, 2007, ABC Radio Chicago participated in the following long-term recruitment |

| |initiatives: |

| |Participation in Job Fairs – ABC Radio Chicago participates in various job fairs throughout the year by staffing a table at the |

| |event with company personnel responsible for hiring decisions, distributing information about careers in radio, encouraging |

| |attendees to go to school and participate in internships, answering questions about the different departments at the radio |

| |stations, collecting résumés, soliciting applications, and informing attendees of current job postings at the stations. |

| | |

| |ABC Radio Chicago attended the following six job fairs: |

| | |

| |Loyola University Chicago Internship & Part-Time Job Fair, 9/7/06 |

| |Loyola University Chicago Communications Job Fair, 3/29/07 |

| |Robert Morris College Spring Job Fair, 4/24/06 |

| | |

| |The stations were scheduled to attend a seventh job fair on 3/30/07 at Robert Morris College, but the college cancelled the job |

| |fair entirely. |

| | |

| |(See Attachment C for the list of station personnel who attended the above- listed job fairs for the four stations.) |

| |Internship Program – ABC Radio Chicago continues to offer college and university undergraduates the opportunity to learn the |

| |day-to-day process and workings of a radio station for school credit. The internship lasts 12-14 weeks or more, depending on the|

| |student’s availability. Participants must work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Each intern is assigned a base department, but |

| |must spend at least 1 week working in other departments. |

| | |

| |(See Attachment D for a log of students who participated or are participating in ABC Radio Chicago’s internship program.) |

| | |

| |Over the years, many of the ABC Radio Chicago interns have gone on to secure full-time positions within the company and/or other |

| |radio stations in major markets. For example, a former ABC Radio Chicago intern is now the Webmaster for WMVP(AM). Another |

| |former intern is an On-Air Host on WMVP(AM)’s evening show. Following are some other full-time positions that former ABC Radio |

| |Chicago interns have secured: Account Executive, Producer, Webmaster, and Production Assistant. |

| |Educational Outreach – ABC Radio Chicago participated in the following educational career programs/events designed to inform |

| |students of the career opportunities in the broadcasting industry and at ABC Radio Chicago: |

| | |

| |Career Days/School Visits – ABC Radio Chicago sent personnel on behalf of both stations to various schools within the Chicagoland|

| |area to talk to the students about pursuing a career in Broadcast Radio. The representative discussed the different departments |

| |within the radio station and what kind of education and experience is necessary to break into the business. At times, WMVP(AM) |

| |employees arranged for groups of students to visit the stations so they could see first hand how a radio station runs. |

| |Afterwards, the students met with various personnel who talked about their particular departments as well as the many different |

| |career paths available in Radio. |

| | |

| |Career Outreach Programs – ABC Radio Chicago’s Community Affairs Director, Carol O’Keefe, and WRDZ(AM) on-air talent, Greg |

| |Dellinger, visited Kelly High School as their “Principal for a Day”, a program promoting business-education partnerships. They |

| |spoke to students about how radio stations are run and the various career opportunities in broadcasting and, specifically, at ABC|

| |Radio Chicago. |

| | |

| |Since 7/15/06, ABC Radio Chicago participated in thirty-four educational career events/programs for this purpose. |

| | |

| |(See Attachment E for a list of schools that ABC Radio Chicago worked with as part of its educational career outreach |

| |initiative.) |

| |Community Group Career Events – ABC Radio Chicago participated in the Latino Council on the Media (LCOM) conference on 10/4/06. |

| |This all-day conference focused on the Latino community and the opportunities available for Latinos within the Chicago Radio and |

| |Television industry, as well as the Internet and Cable Networks industry. ABC Radio Chicago’s Community Affairs Director served |

| |on the planning committee and worked the event. On the Community Affairs Show that aired on all four stations, the Community |

| |Affairs Director interviewed the President /CEO of LCOM and one of its Board Officers to discuss the upcoming event and the |

| |organization’s commitment to helping Latinos become credible forces in the media. WLS(AM) also aired PSA’s promoting the event. |

| |Media Trade Group Postings – With the exception of internal promotions and rare hires requiring unusual confidentiality and |

| |unique talent, ABC Radio Chicago posted all of its full-time openings on the employment page of the Illinois Broadcasters |

| |Association (IBA) website. |

| |Web Links to Job Openings & Assistance with Websites – WMVP(AM) continues to have its station’s website link visible on the |

| |employment/career center section of colleges and minority and women organizations’ websites. WRDZ(AM), whose website is geared |

| |strictly toward children but whose job openings are accessible on the WMVP(AM) website, relies on the links that WMVP(AM) has. |

| |Visitors of the following organizations’ websites can see the job openings available at ABC Radio Chicago by clicking on the |

| |links provided: |

| | |

| |NAACP, Chicago Southside Branch – In addition to having its stations’ weblinks visible on the NAACP Chicago Southside Branch’s |
