Disney’s Magical Express

What is DME?

Disney’s Magical Express is a complimentary airport service between guests staying at a Walt Disney World Owned and Operated Resort Hotels and the Orlando International Airport.

DME also includes complimentary luggage delivery service to the guest room for flights that arrive between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Guests arriving after 10:00 PM on either a scheduled or delayed flight will need to claim their luggage and bring it with them on the motorcoach.

Advanced reservations are required to use Disney’s Magical Express.

How do you book a DME reservation?

Guests may visit us on the web at or contact us at (407) 827-6777. They can also fax us at (407) 824-1980.

NOTE: room reservations need to be made before a DME reservation can be made.

To book via rooming list, you must first submit a rooming list with all correct addresses and party mixes, dates of arrival and departure, and flight information. We can provide you with a reservation template.

Prior to arrival at Orlando International Airport

Pre-tagged luggage (United States and Canada) for guests in the United States and Canada, approximately one week prior to departure for Orlando your Disney’s Magical Express (DME) booklet with 1 luggage tag per person should arrive at the address provided. The DME luggage tag should be placed on the luggage bag that will be checked at the airport.

NOTE: reservations made less than 10 days prior to arrival will not receive a DME booklet. The guests should collect their own luggage and proceed to the Disney Welcome Center located on the B Side on Level 1.

Upon arrival at Orlando International Airport

Pre-Tagged Luggage (United States and Canada)

If the special DME luggage tag was placed on the checked luggage the guest may proceed directly to the Disney Welcome Center located on the B Side on Level 1. If the guest arrives on the A Side the must proceed to the B side before taking the elevator or escalator down to Level 1. Once on Level 1 follow the airport signs to Ground Transportation.

The guest presents his/her Disney’s Magical Express booklet which contains the motor coach transportation voucher to the Disney representative. The representative will validate the voucher, confirm the number of bags checked and verify the return flight information. The guest will then be directed to board a complimentary motor coach. The motor coach may make up to 3 stops before arriving at his/her resort. Length of time on the motor coach will vary. Travel time is generally between 40 and 70 minutes.

The tagged luggage will be delivered to the guest room. It may take up to 3 hours after check-in for the luggage to be delivered. The guest does not need to be in the room to receive the luggage. IMPORTANT: valuables, medications or anything needed immediately upon arrival into Orlando should be in a carry-on bag.

Non-Tagged Luggage (United States and Canada)

If the luggage was not pre-tagged with a Disney’s Magical Express tag before it was checked the guest will need to pick up his/her luggage at the baggage claim area. The guest will then proceed to the Disney Welcome Center located on the B Side Level 1. If the guest arrives on the A Side he/she must proceed to the B Side before taking the elevator or escalator down to Level 1. Once on Level 1 follow the airport signs to Ground Transportation.

For international guests if Orlando International Airport is the first point of entry into the United States the guest must claim his/her luggage at the plane and then continue through customs. Once this process is complete the guest will take his/her luggage and proceed to the Disney Welcome Center located on the B Side Level 1.

Departure

The day prior to departure the guest will receive a transportation notice advising him/her of the motor coach pick-up time and location. The motor coach pick up time is based on the flight departure time and will be approximately 3 hours prior for domestic flights and 4 hours prior for international flights to allow time for multiple stops by the motor coach.

Resort Airline Check-In Service

Upon departure the guest may take advantage of our Resort Airline Check-In Service for participating airlines. The guest can check his/her luggage and receive his/her airline boarding pass at the resort so there is no need to check-in at the airport. At this time the service is available for guests flying domestically on the following airlines: Airtran, Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest , Southwest and United (including TED).
