Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:% OF DUTIESESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 45%Accepts claim forms via regular mail, email or electronically in order to docket claims in case management system.Dockets claims in the case management system by making sure claim details are entered correctly in order to enable initial claim computations and identification of issues.?Computes amounts claimed using information provided in theinitial claim form to enter issues in the case management system.Researches entity information using various sources in order to identify and ascertain contact information on the parties and ensure proper service of notices.Distributes cases to deputies and maintains calendars for conferences or hearings in consultation with Senior Deputy or designee.Performs cashiering functions as assigned using relevant cashiering manuals and under Department policies and procedures.Receives, stamps, sorts, logs and enters (scan, upload and attach) correspondence and other documents into the case management system and distributes accordingly to staff.Prepares form letters, notices and other correspondence for administrative staff and management’s signature and issues such correspondence at the direction of Senior Deputy or designee.Verifies and coordinates language assistance needs based on information provided by parties and/or at the request of administrative staff.30%Generates reports on case management system to ensure orderly and timely processing of claims.Responds to requests for records made by the public and pursuant to the Public Records Act and under Division policies and procedures.Reviews entertainment work permits applications under general guidelines and issues permits upon approval.Prepares and file legal forms with the appropriate government authorities.Prepares and coordinates referrals to the Division’s Legal unit or other units at the direction of Senior Deputy or designee.Corresponds with parties on other procedural matters at the direction of Senior Deputy or designee.20%Performs Public Information Duty (PID) by assisting the public over the phone and in person at the public counter with filing claims and providing answers to questions regarding wage claim adjudication or provide relevant resources to inform the public on procedures and laws enforced by the Labor Commissioner’s Office.Proctors Licensing Exams and other examinations under guidance of lead staff.Maintains files and coordinate file purging in accordance with Division and Departmental policy.Conducts inventory to generate supply or other purchase orders to ensure the appropriate supply needs are met, and assists in completing property survey reports in accordance with the State Administrative Manual and Departmental policy.Maintains Public Information Duty calendar in effort to assist the Senior Deputy in coordinating Public Information Duty.Performs Attendance Reporting Officer (ARO) duties, including keep attendance information and report information to DLSE personnel in accordance with Departmental policy.Assists other WCA offices or programs in the performance of similar duties, remotely or in person and under the supervision of multiple Senior Deputy Staff or designee.MARGINAL FUNCTIONS5%Provides clerical support and satisfies all clerical needs of the office to ensure clerical needs are met and performs other related duties as needed.CONDUCT, ATTENDANCE AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSWork duties are expected to be PERFORMED PRODUCTIVELY & EFFICIENTLY.
