DMV, how do I renew my vehicle registration

online?

Most vehicle registrations are eligible for online renewal and it is quick and easy to do at DMV2U.

What you'll need:

? Your DMV registration renewal application form that was sent to your address on file ? Your vehicle insurance information (if applicable) ? Your payment information (major credit or debit card)

Follow these easy steps:

1. Go to dmv2u.. 2. Click on Renew vehicle registration in the registration section

of the page (see example). 3. After you have read the information, click the box that says I'm

not a robot. 4. To ensure you are a real person, you may be asked to select all

the photos containing a certain object--a traffic signal for example. After choosing all the photos containing the requested object, click Verify. 5. You may need to select the photos, or new photos, more than once. When the correct selections have been made, click Next at the bottom right corner. 6. Enter your Plate Number, Title Number and Renewal Code as they appear on the paper work you received in the mail from DMV (see example). Click Next when you are ready to proceed. 7. Enter your insurance company and policy number. Click Next. 8. You will have an opportunity to get new plates or keep your existing plates. Make your choice and click Next.

9. The fees for the items you have selected will be displayed. Fees are based on the plate type and the MPG (miles per gallon) rating of your vehicle, if applicable. Once you are ready to proceed, click Next.

10. We will ask if you want a one-time mailing address (see example). This option comes in handy if you want your registration card and stickers sent somewhere other than to your address on file with DMV. Select Yes or No, then click Next.

11. Would you like more information about and/or wish to donate to the Oregon Department of Veteran Affairs? Use this links to learn more. When you are ready, click Next to continue with your vehicle renewal.

12. Please certify that all the information you have provided is correct by clicking the check box. Once you have completed your certification, click Next.

13. You will have one last chance to review your fees. When you are ready to continue, click Submit.

14. DMV needs an email address to contact you regarding this submission. Please type it in twice to make sure you have given us the right address. Click OK to move on.

15. You must pay via credit or debit card. Make your selection and click Proceed to payment.

16. Fill out the payment information, including your debit or credit card number, and the address associated with the card you have selected. Once you have double-checked the information is correct, click Submit. You will receive a notice that your payment was successfully scheduled, a confirmation number, and instructions to check for an email with important information (see example). It is a good idea to write down the confirmation number just in case your email does not arrive.

17. That's it! You are done. Once payment goes through, you should receive your new registration card and stickers in the mail within 7 days.

Note: Be sure to check your email for your confirmation email. Most confirmations are received within an hour of submission and will come from DMV2U. Don't see it? Depending on your email settings, you may need to check your spam or junk folder. The email will include your confirmation number, a description of the transaction you just performed (registration renewal), and your payment amount. It also includes the last four digits of the credit or debit card number used, your Billing Name and the date of payment.
