DMV - Criteria
National and Enterprise Safe Driver Criteria
National and Enterprise maintain a Do Not Rent List (DNR) to protect the company from liability and potential vehicle loss. The DNR List is regularly monitored. Any renter whose driving record includes offences outlined in our Safe Driver Criteria is given Do No Rent status for a predetermined time. Individuals may also be denied rental privileges if their accounts are delinquent or if they pose a security risk.
Why a Renter Would Be Placed on the DNR List
Once placed on the DNR List, renters will remain on this list for a predetermined amount of time. The DNR List includes any renter whose driving record includes a conviction for one or more of the following within the past three years:
• Conviction for reckless driving
• Conviction for driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated
• Suspended or revoked license
• Conviction for operating a motor vehicle without a license
• Leaving the scene of an accident or failure to report an accident
• Conviction for possession of a stolen motor vehicle
• Unauthorized Driver
• Force charge
• If a rental vehicle is reported stolen to the police
• If a rental vehicle is sent to a repossession company
Or any of the following on a customer’s driving record within the past two years:
• Conviction for three or more moving violations
• Two or more accidents
