Dr. Curry has taken a strong stance in the belief that community colleges have the ability to provide quality education to students and to provide an environment of educational excellence. Dr. Curry also has a passion for teaching those students who aspire to careers as higher education administrators.Dr. Curry is the President/CEO of the Compton College and Compton Community College District. He is responsible for overseeing all departments and functions of the Compton College and Compton District and serves as secretary to the Board of Trustees. Dr. Curry brings an abundance of energy and innovative ideas to the District, along with a wealth of experience as a postsecondary education administrator.Dr. Curry is an active member of the Foundation for Compton Community College District, the Association of California Community College Administrators, and the Statewide Association of Community Colleges (SWACC), President’s Roundtable. Dr. Curry earned his Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz and his doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of California at Irvine. As Accreditation Faculty Chair at Compton College, Amber has extensive knowledge in the design and drafting of Compton College’s ISER and QFE. Recently selected as Compton Community College District’s Faculty Member of the Year, Amber’s first priority is her students, and she serves as a faculty member in the First Year Experience program, is involved in student clubs and organizations as a faculty advisor, and serves on Academic Senate. Amber has also been involved in the design of Accelerated, Integrated Reading and Writing courses, and the English Bridge Program.0-254000Donna Berry, Vice President of Administrative Services - Reedley CollegeDonna currently serves as the Vice President of Administrative Services at Reedley College, one of three colleges in the State Center Community College District. She oversees the college Business Services and budgeting, conducts financial analyses, monitors compliance and ensures the fiscal health of the college. She also manages Building Services, Facilities, Public Safety and Security, Auxiliary Services (Food Services & bookstore), and Graphics. Donna had been at Reedley College for six (6) years. Previously, she was the Director of Administrative Services at Porterville College in the Kern Community College District for ten (10) years. Donna oversaw the same areas of responsibility and also served as Treasurer of the Foundation.Donna’s prior experience includes private industry fiscal and facilities management, human resources, and technology. She has also held faculty positions as college adjunct and 8 years as faculty in 9-12 education. She has participated in staff development, SLO design and assessment experience based on classroom courses and instruction and developed program reviews.Donna holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Porterville College, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting from California State University, Fresno and Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She also possesses a Professional Clear Teaching Credential in Business Education from Chapman University, Visalia.left544195000Loren Bell, English Professor – City College of San FranciscoProfessor Bell attended grade school in Sonoma County, high school at a Latin school, St. Mary's College in St. Mary, KY, two years at Novitiate in Crystal Lake, IL, and received his B.A. in English, Education & German?from St. Louis University. Later on, he received an M.F.A. from Bowling Green State University at BGSU. He went to create the Student Development Program for at-risk Latino and African American students in response to the shootings at Kent State?and created the New University of Bowling Green. He has also received a certificate in Special Education and has both taught and created a school for out-patients at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco. Currently, he is the Co-Chair for the Japanese Bi-Lingual Bi-cultural Program in SFUSD. As an English Professor at City College of San Francisco & Chair of Program Review, he re-created the PR from scratch. In addition, he is also?the Co-Chair of the Educational Master Plan for CCSF. For the seven preceding years, she worked at West Valley College in Saratoga, first as a Research Analyst and then as Director of Research. Ms. Bond was a re-entry student at West Valley College before transferring to U.C. Santa Cruz for her Bachelor’s in Sociology, after which she received her Master’s in Education Policy Analysis and Evaluation from Stanford University. Ms. Bond oversees college functions related to institutional effectiveness, planning, data reporting and analysis.left6223000Dr. Renée DeLong, Dean of Counseling Services – Cerritos CollegeDr. Renée DeLong began her journey working in the community college system over twenty five years ago when she was a psychology faculty member at Lincoln Land Community College in Illinois, which also happens to be her alma mater. For the past eleven years, Dr. DeLong has served as Dean of Counseling Services and also as a part-time psychology faculty member at Cerritos College. She has been working at Cerritos since 2001, and was formerly the CalWORKs and PACE Weekend College Program Director on campus. Dr. DeLong has Associates, Bachelors, and Master’s degrees in psychology, as well as a second Master’s degree in theology/marriage and family therapy. In addition, she has an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration specializing in community college and higher education from a joint program at both UC Irvine and CSU Long Beach. Dr. DeLong has served on multiple ACCJC teams. left4445000Evelyn Lord, Head Librarian – Laney CollegeEvelyn Lord is currently the Head Librarian at Laney College in Oakland, California, where she has served on the faculty since 1995. Beyond the library, Evelyn has taken on numerous leadership roles, including three terms as academic senate president as well as stints as curriculum chair and tenure review facilitator. Evelyn is the system administrator for the Peralta District library system and has been active on the college and district technology committees. Evelyn is a member of the executive committee of the Council of Chief Librarians and serves as the San Francisco / East Bay region representative. left635000Elizabeth Misao Keith, Ph.D., Vice-Chancellor – Hawaii Tokai International CollegeDr. Elizabeth Misao Keith is Vice-Chancellor of Hawaii Tokai International College. She was born and raised in Japan, and is bilingual in Japanese and English. She earned her Ph.D. in Japanese Literature at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has taught at the University of Hawaii, the Centre for Transcultural Studies at Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore, and at Hawaii Tokai International College. She has also made presentations at conferences in Hawaii, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, and Kenya. She enjoys teaching Japanese Literature, Japanese Language and Culture, Japanese History, Peace Studies, Cross-Cultural Communication, Transnational Studies, and Global Citizenship. While at Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore, she helped create and teach a campus-wide Cultural Awareness Program and conducted joint research with Dr. Darnell Cole of the University of Southern California regarding the effects of diversity on the Temasek Polytechnic campus. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Keith has served as an interpreter and translator for Japanese multinational corporations involved in litigation. For more than twenty-five years, she worked part time as the NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) correspondent in Hawaii. She also hosted her own Japanese-language radio program in Honolulu and broadcasted regular reports about Hawaii during an NHK radio program that had 34 million listeners in Japan. left000Mojdeh Mehdizadeh, President - Contra Costa CollegeMojdeh Mehdizadeh began her tenure as President of Contra Costa College in July of 2016, having formerly served as Interim President since January, 2015. Prior, Ms. Mehdizadeh served as Executive Vice Chancellor of Education and Technology at the Contra Costa Community College District where her responsibilities included support of the colleges’ educational programs, student services, workforce and economic development, information technology, international education, research and planning, and grants. She has also served as adjunct faculty in Speech Communications and has been very actively engaged in state and national associations.Ms. Mehdizadeh holds an M.A. in Organizational and Intercultural Communications from Cal State University East Bay and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from San Francisco State University. Mojdeh completed her undergraduate general education requirements at Diablo Valley College and is proud of her roots in the community college system. Ms. Mehdizadeh has previously served on three accreditation visiting teams and participated fully in the accreditation process at Contra Costa College and the Contra Costa Community College District.0000Art Sandford, Dean of Liberal Studies – Oxnard CollegeArt Sandford has 34 years of experience in education, 27 of them at the community college level. At Ventura College, he served as a full-time professor of Spanish and ESL, a Department Chair, Grant Director, Learning Resources Supervisor, Academic Senate President, Interim Dean, and Accreditation Co-Chair. He is currently Dean of the Liberal Studies Division at Oxnard College. Dr. Sandford attended Cuesta College before transferring to Cal Poly, SLO where he earned a BA in Political Science, and a secondary teaching credential. He studied for a year at the University of Madrid, Spain, before earning an MA in Spanish from Cal State Northridge. He graduated from UCSB in 2009 with a Ph.D. in Education.left381000Gary J. Williams, Ed.D, Professor of Psychology – Crafton Hills CollegeDr. Gary J. Williams is a Professor of Psychology at Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, California. He has 28 years of experience in higher education at a variety of institutions, large and small, public and private. He has served on the Accreditation and Student Learning Outcomes Committee for the Academic Senate of the California Community Colleges (ASCCC), as a Program Coordinator for the Basic Skills Initiative for the California Community Colleges, and as a Mentor for participating institutions at the WASC Student Learning Level I & Level II Retreats. He has consulted at numerous institutions across the country in the development and implementation of assessment practices. In these capacities, he has helped institutions develop faculty capacity for assessment, foster dialog among campus stakeholders, establish student services and co-curricular assessment practices, and implement data management systems for organizing, reporting, storing and archiving assessment data. Dr. Williams earned his Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from UCLA with a focus on assessment, organizational change, and organizational culture. ................
