Dear Technical Data Requestors:

Please help us help you -- all the data in our care is used to support our military and our foreign military partners. Because so many depend on our data, we want to make sure we take every precaution to protect this data from getting into the wrong hands and then to appropriately share it with our defense industry partners.

We need your help to make this happen! Department of Defense (DoD) Directive - DoDI 5230.25 provides to us policy direction to verify your need for the requested technical data. To help speed up the process, email or mail your request to us on your company’s letterhead and shall include: current date, your name, phone number, fax number, point of contact, detailed background information about your organization, your reason for the request and specific intended use of the data and your signature.

The following examples are some of the most common reasons to request data; if your reason is listed, please provide all the requested information. If your reason is NOT listed, please contact us for further discussion by email or mail through the Public Sales Office (contact information at the bottom.)

Requests for technical data to support an EXISTING US DoD or US Government contract SHALL be submitted to the announcing contracting office and shall include the following:

1. A current, signed and certified copy of your DD Form 2345.

2. Contract number driving the need for the technical data.

3. Request on company letterhead with: current date, phone number, fax number, point of contact, detailed background information about your organization, reason for the request, specific intended use of the data, and complete list of TOs/Eng Drawings/Mylars.

4. If you are a subcontractor to a primary contractor awarded the contract listed above, please provide a short description of your relationship to the contractor and applicable points of contact (procurement contracting officer [PCO] and contact within primary contractor).

5. Please include any additional, active government points of contact that can help quickly verify your request. Including names, organizations, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.

6. Please give a brief explanation why you did NOT receive the information with the awarded contract.

7. If you are requesting drawings in any form please continue to supply the weapon system (i.e. aircraft), part number, cage code for the part number, and the noun or nomenclature that describes what the drawing shows.

8. If you are requesting a technical manual, the technical order number is mandatory.

Request to support a SOLICITATION for a US DoD or US Government contract SHALL be submitted to the announcing contracting office and shall include the following:

1. A current, signed and certified copy of your DD Form 2345.

2. Solicitation number driving the need for the technical data and PCO contact information.

3. Request on company letterhead with: current date, phone number, fax number, point of contact, detailed background information about your organization, reason for the request, specific intended use of the data, and complete list of TOs/Eng Drawings/Mylars.

4. Please give an explanation why you believe this information is required in addition to that already provided as part of the solicitation package.

5. If you are requesting drawings in any form, please continue to supply the weapon system (i.e. aircraft), part number, cage code for the part number, and the noun or nomenclature that describes what the drawing shows.

6. If you are requesting a technical manual, the technical order number is mandatory.

All requests for technical data, drawings or schematics to support Parts Repair Ordering Systems (PROS) repairs or sales SHALL be sent to the PROS Contract POC and shall include the following:

1. A current, signed and certified copy of your DD Form 2345.

2. Verification that you are supporting a PROS contract – PROS Request for Quotation (RFQ) ID number and PROS contract number.

3. Request on company letterhead with: current date, phone number, fax number, point of contact, detailed background information about your organization, reason for the request, specific intended use of the data, and complete list of TOs/Eng Drawings/Mylars.

4. If you are requesting drawings in any form, please supply the weapon system (i.e. F-4, C-130 etc.), part number, National Stock Number (NSN), MFG CAGE code for the part number and the noun or nomenclature that describes what the drawing shows.

5. If you are requesting a technical manual, the technical order number is mandatory in addition to the Weapon System (i.e. F-4, C-130 etc.), Part Number and NSN.

6. Please allow 30 calendar days before requesting status of your request.

Request to support a FMS [Foreign Military Sales] contract:

If you are engaged with FMS a Defense Trade Controls registration is required when requesting technical data.

Request to support a FMS [Foreign Military Sales] contract:

For Technical Orders (TOs), reference Technical Order 00-5-19 Chapter 17 “Special Programs” for instruction

Requests for Engineering Drawings shall include the following:

1. A current, signed and certified copy of your DD Form 2345.

2. Contract number driving the need for the technical data.

3. Request on company letterhead with: current date, phone number, fax number, point of contact, detailed background information about your organization, reason for the request, specific intended use of the data, and complete list of TOs/Eng Drawings/Mylars.

4. Request shall include the list of drawings, the weapon system (i.e. F-4, C-130 etc.), cage code for the part number and the noun or nomenclature that describes what the drawing shows.

5. Request shall include a specific description of why drawings are needed and where the work will be accomplished along with the country you will be supporting.

6. Please allow 30 calendar days before requesting status of your request.

Request to support an UNSOLICITED BID, REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI), or REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) shall include the following:

1. A current, signed and certified copy of your DD Form 2345.

2. Request on company letterhead with: current date, phone number, fax number, point of contact, detailed background information about your organization, reason for the request, specific intended use of the data, and complete list of TOs/Eng Drawings/Mylars.

3. If you are requesting drawings in any form please supply the weapon system (i.e. aircraft), part number, cage code for the part number, and the noun or nomenclature that describes what the drawing shows

4. If you are requesting a technical manual, the technical order number is mandatory. Also, if you briefly explain what data you expect is contained in the requested technical manual and how you intend to apply it to your bid, which will help us to understand your need.

5. Please allow 30 calendar days before requesting status of your request.
