Change to the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation, Volume 7A, (DoDFMR, Vol. 7A), on Members in a Missing Status, (DFAS Item F-28)

This is DFAS Interim Change Number 29-96 to the DoDFMR, Volume 7A. This change is effective when received.

We have evaluated your comments on the draft change to the DoDFMR, Volume 7A. The attached final version of the change includes your comments where appropriate. Assignment of an interim change number is your authority to start a procedural modification to facilitate this change. For the Denver Center, use the attached to initiate the formal printed change to the DoDFMR and the interim change.

INTERIM CHANGE NO. 29-96 to DoDFMR Volume 7

PAY ENTITLEMENT OF MEMBERS MISSING, MISSING IN ACTION, INTERNED, ETC., AND PAYMENTS TO DEPENDENTS

1. Revise paragraph 4031l.d.(1) as follows:

Replace "See AFRs 30-25 and 35-40." with "See AFI 36-3002, AFMPCI 36-9, and AFR 35-40."

2. Revise Table 4-3-1, rule 4, column C, as follows:

Replace "Assistant DCS/Military Center, Randolph AFB TX 78150" with "Cdr, HQ AFPC, 550 C Street West, Randolph AFB, TX 78150".

3. Revise paragraph 40305, as follows:

Replace "See paragraph 70102b@' with "See paragraphs 70102 and 70103b(2)".

4. Revise Table 4-3-2, column C, as follows:

Insert "(note 8)" at the end of the clause applicable to rules 1 through 4, i.e., after "...HFP if the member qualified immediately before entry to a missing status".

5. Revise the notes to Table 4-3-2, as follows:

Add a new note numbered 8, to read "See paragraphs 70102 and 70103b(2) to determine possible Combat Zone Tax Exclusion implications".
