Computer Voice Stress Analyzer® III

The Computer Voice Stress Analyzer III (CVSA®III) is an instrument that utilizes the voice to measure changes in mental-stress activity when a subject provides verbal answers to direct questions about any issue. When an individual is not being truthful, the autonomic nervous system causes inaudible changes in the frequency of the human voice. The CVSA III detects, measures, quantifies, evaluates and graphically displays the changes in the captured frequencies. The CVSA III includes numerous system enhancements and an automated scoring system, the Final Analysis Confirmation Tool® (FACT®), which quantifies/evaluates individual voice patterns and evaluates examination charts as Deception Indicated (DI) or No Deception Indicated (NDI). This feature alone makes the CVSA III a “next generation” product when compared to other truth verification technologies. The CVSA III also has the capability to record examinations to the CVSA’s hard drive, eliminating the need for a tape recorder, and allows analysis in real-time or at a later time; the capability to record voice stress examinations directly from telephones for analysis; and the capability to store recorded examinations, reports, etc. on the system’s hard drive or other digital media.

The cost is $9,470.80 per system. This price includes 2 free student training slots and the Dell 4-year Onsite Dell Pro-Support Hardware Service Warranty and Accident Protection Plan.

Certified Examiners Course

The NITV® conducts a widely acclaimed intensive training course for those that will be utilizing the CVSA® III (Computer Voice Stress Analyzer). NITV’s Certified Examiners Course (CEC) is a five day training event. With a maximum of 20 students allowed per class, there is ample hands-on instruction. The specialized Defense Barrier Removal® interviewing and interrogation technique and Kinesics (body language) are also taught. These two techniques, when utilized in conjunction with the CVSA® III, have proven invaluable in obtaining confessions, as well as clearing suspects. The training process is integrates the CEC training manual with videos of actual cases and examinations, detailed operating instructions and chart interpretation. Instruction is supplemented by practical exercises, as well as audio and visual aids.

The cost is $1,218.40 per student.

AIS 3-Day Course Description

The Analytical Interviewing System (AIS) course is a new and innovative approach to determining a subject’s truthful or deceptive behaviors. By integrating the newly developed Team Interviewing Process, Behavior & Personality Assessment, Interview Planning, Advanced Kinesics, and Defense Barrier Removal (DBR®) techniques, the NITV has developed a cutting-edge and innovative interviewing and assessment system which will dramatically increase threat detection, confession and admission rates.

The AIS course is now available to all individuals whose duties require conducting interviews. This course does not require the use of any special equipment – everyone is eligible to attend this course. The techniques provided in the AIS course have been successfully proven and adopted by US and Canadian law enforcement agencies, as well as US Military and Intelligence professionals worldwide. The techniques, as taught by the NITV, have also been successfully applied in multi-cultural and cross-cultural interviews. Interviews conducted using the AIS methodology effectively remove barriers to obtaining truthful and accurate information from cooperative and non-cooperative individuals. The AIS course is presented by internationally recognized instructors, who are acknowledged subject matter experts in interview, interrogation and human-assessment techniques.

The cost is $473.78 per student.

AIS 5-Day Course Description

In addition to the course content described in the 3-Day AIS Course, the 5-Day AIS Course includes an in-depth examination of the Behavior Analysis process, Personality Assessment, Advanced Kinesics, Interview Planning, and the Team Interview process. Detailed in-class discussions and application of these human-assessment tools are directed by two AIS instructors to ensure students are fully capable of increased threat detection, confession and admission rates under various conditions. Additionally, one full day (day-five) of the course is devoted to practical exercises and the application of AIS processes and techniques in a small-group team environment. Each student will be evaluated and critiqued individually by the AIS instructors. An in-class final exercise and written examination will be successfully completed by each student in order to complete the training course.

The cost is $856.63 per student.
