PRESS RELEASE

2/6/2018

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Rosemont, IL

In an effort to keep our streets safe for our residents, visitors, and most importantly our children, the Rosemont Public Safety Department will be strictly enforcing the parking restrictions throughout the Village of Rosemont.

The Rosemont Public Safety Department is currently looking into new parking restriction options for the Scott Street Subdivision. However, until that is decided, residents and visitors are to adhere to the current parking restrictions ? no parking anytime. A special allowance may be given after first contacting and receiving permission from the Rosemont Public Safety Department at 847-823-1131. Any vehicle that is given permission will be for a temporary allowance only and must be parked on only 1 side of the street. Additionally, vehicles must be parked facing the correct way (passenger-side nearest the curb). Please note that parking permission will not be given during expected snow fall. Violators will be issued a parking citation.

As we look into the possibility of new parking restrictions, some of the options are to include parking allowed on the street during certain designated hours and/or parking allowed on only certain sides of the street. Notification will go out if any parking restrictions change as well as proper signage being posted. But again, until any changes are made, the current parking restrictions will be enforced.

While safety is always of the utmost concern for our department, the Rosemont Public Safety Department will also be strictly enforcing traffic violations in residential areas. Special enforcements will occur to combat speeding as well as drivers who disobey stop signs. We urge all residents and guests to drive safely and obey the law or you will be ticketed.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to the Community Affairs Division at 847-823-1134 x288 or communityaffairs@.
